Experimental Analysis of Coupled Phenomena

This research uses advanced laboratory experiments to investigate the coupled thermal–hydraulic–mechanical (THM) behavior of soils and other geomaterials under controlled environmental and loading conditions. Experimental studies examine the interactions among temperature, moisture, pore pressure, soil suction, stress, strain, and deformation, with particular emphasis on saturated and unsaturated soil behavior. Advanced testing methods, including triaxial testing and controlled pressure and temperature measurements, are used to characterize material response and generate high-quality experimental data. The results support the development and validation of constitutive and computational models and improve understanding of geomaterial behavior for resilient geotechnical and civil infrastructure.
