Sustainable Civil Infrastructure Materials

Description: This research focuses on the development and characterization of sustainable and resilient materials for civil infrastructure, including concrete, asphalt, soils, and other geomaterials. The work combines experimental testing with multiphysics modeling to investigate how material composition, environmental conditions, and coupled thermal, hydraulic, and mechanical processes influence material behavior, performance, and long-term durability. The goal is to develop innovative materials and engineering approaches that reduce environmental impacts, extend infrastructure service life, and improve resilience under extreme environmental and loading conditions.
